As many of you might have noted, the dress code is "Shirts and Sarees".
I guess that makes it easy for the men, who by all means are welcome to come in Indian formal wear as well -e.g. kurta or sherwanis or veshtis. But it makes it more exciting for our lady invitees!
We hope to provide a chance to all the lovely ladies attending our wedding reception to use it as an excuse to try that elusive saree, when otherwise you might have not had such an opportunity!
You may purchase silk sarees at any one of the many shops that dot Little India including "Nalli" and "Haniffa Textiles".
For those amongst you who have no clue how to tie a saree, you may look up this site - it seems to provide a nice picture guide on how to tie a saree - http://www.utsavsarees.com/pages/wearsari.htm
Have fun. You may forward any enquiries to Dr Amit - at ajain80sg@gmail.com - who is helping me organize the reception or my wife Vidhya at vidhyamed@gmail.com.
